KOLKATA: A tribal woman was allegedly gang-raped by 10 men as she was having an affair outside her community. 

A kangaroo court decided that the sin of the 20-year-old girl can be only undone if she gets raped by 10 tribal men and her lover was fined Rs 25,000.

 The police has arrested five people including the lover and the victim is undergoing treatment.

21-year-old gang-raped on busy Kolkata road


KOLKATA: A 21-year-old woman, working in a mall was allegedly gang-raped while returning home after work.

The woman is stated to be serious and presently admitted at the Howrah State Hospital. 

The mall employee was targeted after she boarded a shared cab after 10pm.

When the vehicle reached near Princep Ghat, five men forced her out of the taxi took her inside a parked truck and took turns to rape her.

They fled after the crime and abandoned the woman there. The accused took away her mobile phone also.

The girl regained consciousness only early morning. 

Though bleeding profusely, no one came to her aid. She somehow managed to reach police station where the police admitted her to hospital.

The police have registered a case and started their investgation.
